To get to Bao Lam district, you have to go through National Highway 34 from Cao Bang city for about 4 hours by car. When you reach Ly Bon commune, you have to go another 9 km to reach Phieng Lung hamlet. And to get to Lung Lon cave, you can ask the locals or contact Mr. Tan La Tao, the hamlet chief, for directions because from the hamlet to the cave there is a quite dangerous 5 km stretch. If you are not a driver familiar with the mountainous terrain, you should walk so you can leisurely enjoy the scenery and it is much safer.
To get to the cave entrance, visitors will climb a mountain with a fairly steep slope of about 500m, there are sections where the face will be close to the cliff, and you have to hold on to the branches of trees along the road to climb up.
